Hopster is built on a technology aimed at bypassing firewall. It effectively does this and anonymizes your identity on the internet at the same time. Protection from hackers is guaranteed by hopsters firewall itself. It gets you across web filters and firewalls and also obscures your surfing. You might not even need to configure any application when installed as it auto-configures popular applications like MSN, AOL, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, Miranda, Trillian, mIRC and others.

The free version displays ads and limits the download speed to approx. 4 kb/second (which works pretty well for Instant Messaging).
