How To Manually Configure Sony Ericsson Phones

This works for most sony ericsson phones as you need to first create a data account before detting up an internet profile.

Menu >> Settings >> Connectivity >> Data comm. >> Data accounts >> New Account >> GPRS DATA >> Write the name and save.

Select Edit:
APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Username: web
Password: web

Leave the rest and change Authentication:PAP only.

Under Connectivity, select Internet Settings >> Internet Profile >> title the profile>> Connect Using: select the previous settings >> save then click more >> settings.
Internet mode:HTTP
Use proxy: Yes
Proxy Address:10.199.212.2
Port:8080

Leave the rest. And save.
Choose the settings in your settings for java to enable it work on your applications under connectivity.
