Admob Suspends Accounts And Mobile Web Option

I've been an admob publisher for a couple years now, even before it became Google Admob. Admob is an advertising platform for mobile sites and applications, it's a nice way to monetize your mobile traffic or Android application which Google bought recently. I've been using admob on my mobile site for the past two years and started using it on my blog and forum's mobile version recently. I tried logging in to my admob account about four days ago but got this message displayed:

Your account has been disabled for invalid activity or repeated policy violations. Some examples include recurring manual clicks or impressions, violation of our content policies which can be found here, robots, automated click and impression generating tools, third-party services that generate clicks or impressions such as pay-to-click, pay-to-surf, autosurf, and click-exchange programs, or any deceptive software.

It then hit me hard that my admob account and pending earning was gone despite sticking to the rules for the past two years. I tried to find out what went wrong and realized thousands of publishers got their account banned that same day. I didn't even bother contacting their support because you can never get your account restored once you receive a ban, you sure know how google is.

A few days later, a friend tried opening a new admob account and found out the mobile web option was already removed. Your can only create ads for high end smartphones and applications. That got me wondering whether that was the reason thousands of publishers got their account suspended unfairly without prior warning. The only alternative left is to try out other mobile advertising platform as quite a lot of people are now dumping admob.

Alternatives To Admob?

Google Admob definitely isn't the only mobile advertising platform but it's still the best in terms of earnings. There are others and I've even used a couple of them personally. I'm going to list my personal experience with these advertising companies below:

1. Admob - I served ads for them on my sites for two years but got my account suspended without doing anything wrong. They even removed mobile web from their ad creation lately. Thousands of wapmasters are screaming "admob sucks" at the top of their voices. :)

2. Adsense For Mobile - I'm still using this as well and I'm still in good terms with google on this. lol.

3. Inmobi -inmobi is always rated second largest to admob and publishers often report they have a better customer support than admob. I started using it just recently but I've heard a lot of good stuff about them.

4. Mojiva - I used mojiva about two years ago but discontinued it and stuck with admob. I tried logging in recently to continue using it when my admob account got banned but realized I couldn't even access the site with a Nigerian IP address. I then tried an anonymizer and logged in. The sad news is that they wouldn't serve ads for users in Nigeria anymore.

5. Mobgold - Mobgold??? I served ads for them on my mobile sites, got about seven thousand impressions and didn't get a single cent. Other wapmasters report that they don't pay for clicks via proxies. ufff...I removed them already.

Others I haven't tried out include:

-smaato
-adiquity
-buzzcity
-admoda
-hitcross

That is sad. I wonder why they decided to blame the publishers for their achievement. It's good you're still with Adsense for Mobile anyway. That is sad. I wonder why they decided to blame the publishers for their achievement. It's good you're still with Adsense for Mobile anyway.

Admob sucks, after using them for close to a year now, my whole earnings for www.9jaboys.com are now gone. Should have requested my payout earlier.

None of them does that. You can use inmobi, buzzcity or adiqity...you can get your payment through paypal with those. but it's stricly check if you're using adsense for mobile in Nigeria
