MTN Free Browsing On Opera And Bolt Handler

The last post I made on MTN free browsing on Opera 6 Handler isn't working any longer because their main site used to power the old trick doesn't work anymore. This post works as at the time of making this post - Aug 04, 2011.

APN - web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Username - web
Password - web
IP Address - 010.199.212.002
Port - 8080

You can as well request for MTN default settings by sending SETTINGS in a text message to 3888.

In case you use a java phone such as Nokia 3310, Nokia 6300, Nokia 5310 and the rest of them that won't connect java applications using MTN default settings, download this proxy file and actvate it as default in all applications. Click here to learn more about proxy files.

FOR OPERA 6 HANDLER UI200

Download Cast Opera 6 from Capriofiles
Download Cast Opera 6 from Hotfile

Install Opera 6 and input the following settings:
Primary Server - http://82.145.208.68
Secondary Server - http://82.145.208.68

Proxy Type - host
Proxy Server - 41.220.77.210
Front Query - 10.199.212.8@ (required for S40 Nokia phones)

Save and launch!

FOR BOLT 2.10 HANDLER UI150

I prefer this versionof bolt on MTN for a certain reason: you can edit the bolt server you intend to use. The latest bolt handler version (Bolt 2.50 Handler) I came across wouldn't work with MTN because some bolt servers won't work on MTN. I guesses they were blocked.

Use MTN default settings or the s40 proxy file above. Configure Bolt as follows:

Custom HTTP Server - http://us27.boltbrowser.com

Host - 41.220.77.210

The trick above seems to be no longer working. The new settings below is quite similar to the one above but the host server is different. It's actually on of MTN's old free sites.

The settings work with MTN default settings and the prov files above.
