Etisalat Free Browsing On Your Freedom

Your freedom tunneling software has been working free of charge on Etisalat Nigeria for almost two consecutive months now and it's been sort of stable. The settings is quite similar to the last free browsing settings I posted for MTN network which is still working up to date to. As explained on that post, you need to download the software, create an account if you don't have one yet and follow the following steps to configure the software:

1. If it's newly installed, select your preferred language (English) and cancel the welcome message

2. Click on Configure and key in the following settings on the page that appears:

* Address - www.google.com.ng
* Port - 80
* Connection Mode - HTTP
* Tweak - None

3. Still on the same page under options, check the 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th box and set the following parameters:

* Minimum Buffer Size - 1500
* Reconnection Delay - 5000
* Initial Post SIze - 10000000
* Minimum POST Size - 20000

4. Select Account Information and enter your username and password. (You must have registered earlier at www.your-freedom.net and verified your email address)

5. Click on Proxy Settings tab and use the following settings:

* Proxy Address - ems03.your-freedom.de
* Port - 80

You can use ems01.your-freedom.de, ems05.your-freedom.de, ems12.your-freedom.de and the rest.

6. Click Save and Exit and this should take you back to the main window

6. Select Ports tab and check Socks 4/5 and Web Proxy

7. Click on Status tab and hit Start Connection

Provided you got the settings right and the network is perfectly ok, you should get connected as the door icon pushes open.

Now launch Mozilla Firefox or any browser of your choice and change the proxy settings to 127.0.0.1:8080 or localhost:8080 . For Firefox:

* Click on Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Settings.
* Select Manual Proxy Configuration
* Enter 127.0.0.1 for HTTP Proxy
* Key in 8080 for Port
* Check Use this proxy server for all protocols
* Click OK and save your settings

Now you can browse free on your PC without subscription. Sounds great, huh?

You can also install the latest version of OpenVPN to bypass the necessary proxy settings. This makes your your freedom connection work like a typical local area network and there won't be any need to enter the localhost proxy settings in your applications. With OpenVPN installed, you should mark Use UDP for OpenVPN and VPN Port on your freedom Ports tab and set your browser and other apps to connect directly. You can even update your antivirus software with it.
